A distributor and retailer of Chinese tea products, Centennial Teashop aims to introduce the exquisite Chinese tea culture to the rest of the world. “A cup of tea, to every friend I meet.” Since thousands of years ago, tea has been regarded as a simple but precious gift for guests and friends. Today, we wish to extend this tradition and present our best tea products to every friend we meet.

Tea originated from China. As early as 6 thousand years ago, Chinese people discovered the medical use of tea. It later became a popular health drink. Over the years, the processing methods have evolved and diversified, giving rise to a tea culture shaped by the concepts of peace, tranquillity, comfort, and honesty. Thereafter, tea and tea culture were introduced to India and Persia by way of Tibet, and to Japan and Korea through the influence of Buddhism. That was just the beginning. Tea was eventually introduced to over 160 countries and has become a popular drink that safeguards our health.

Quality, affordability and choice are the three benefits we aim to deliver.

Quality. All products are produced and processed by reputable manufacturers in the geographic areas that the tea originated from. All leaves and sprouts are picked in spring (which provides better quality products than those picked in Autumn.)

Affordability. The price we offer can be as low as 5 dollars a kilo, which means for 5 dollars you can enjoy 3 cups a day for 6 months. That’s only 3 cents a day! And it’s good for your health. For every tea product in the market, you will always find the same quality in our shop, but with a better price. Or same price, with better quality.

Choice. We offer a wide range of tea – as many as 70 varieties. Our tea comes in various forms - loose, packed, bagged and even in capsules. The range includes green tea, black tea, yellow tea, white tea, oolong, flavored (scented) tea, pu-erh, health (herbal) tea and wheat tea. This has covered all well-known varieties in the Chinese tea family, namely, west-lake Long Jing, Pingshui Pearl, Crescent, Lu’an Guapian, Junshan Silver Needle, Tian Red, Yunnan Pu-erh, Tuo, Anxi Iron Goddess, ect. Health tea products each take care of a special health need. They can help lose weight, burn fat, reduce blood pressure, improve stomach and liver functions, cure flu, prevent diabetes, and so on. In general, consuming any kind of tea helps lose weight and clean your digestive system.
